Specialists Programs
The curriculum at Mundijong Primary School is enriched by the specialist programs of Noongar Language, Physical Education, Music and Science for all students in Years Kindergarten to 6.
Noongar Language
Our students from Years 3-6 have the opportunity to learn the language of our land-Noongar. Mr Jayden Boundry delivers the Languages curriculum and educates our students about our Indigenous Culture.
Physical Education
Our physical education teacher, Mr Andrew Blechynden, runs a program for all students . The physical education program takes on basic physical activity skills, game play and knowledge. All students compete in our Faction Cross Country Carnivals and our Faction Athletics Carnivals. Selected students compete for our school in the Interschool Athletics Carnival against Serpentine PS and Forrestdale PS. Our senior students also participate in a winter interschool sports carnival and a cricket carnival.
Music
Our music teacher, Miss Amanda Johnston provides our students from year 1 – 6 with a music program varied in musical instruments, singing and movement. Our school choir is available for all students in years 3 – 6 to join.
Science
Our Science teacher, Mrs Michelle Rees, provides an enquiry based science program to all students in years 1 – 6. this year there is a dedicated Science lab for students to be able to complete hands on science experiments in order to improve their science literacy and investigation skills.
STEM
Our students from Years 1 to 6 have the opportunity to deeply engage in STEM activities once a week with our specialist teacher Mr Steven Brook. Our fully equipped Science/STEM Room is a hive of creative activities throughout the week.
